My Jeep's ticking noise turned out to be a camshaft issue – need a specialist
Nicolettenaseby

Bought a used 2016 Wrangler a few months ago and noticed a faint ticking that's slowly gotten louder, especially when the engine is warm. Took it to a general garage in Mussafah and they said "probably a lifter, just drive it," but that didn't sit right with me. After doing some research, I'm pretty sure it's the dreaded Pentastar rocker arm and camshaft wear problem. I really need a place that knows these engines inside out – not someone who will just replace one rocker and call it done. I found a page mentioning a Jeep Engine Repair Specialist Abu Dhabi and I'm hoping someone here can recommend a shop that actually pulls the valve covers, inspects all the lobes, and replaces the cam if needed. Also curious what a fair price is for this kind of job on a 3.6. I don't want to throw money at bandaids – just want it fixed right the first time. If you've had this done locally and were happy with the work, please share where you went. Thanks a ton.
