•History:The society was established in 1982 by a directive from the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria to create a legal department for the Catholic Secretariat in Nigeria.
•Activities: •Conducts annual conventions to foster collaboration and professional development among its members.
•Supports members in conducting research and sabbaticals at its national headquarters.
•Engages in community service by providing guidance and upholding the Church's teachings and commandments.
•Recent Events: •The 36th Annual Convention took place in Benin City, Nigeria, from September 22 to 29, 2024.
•During the convention, the CLSN presented an award to Sir Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin, for his contributions to the Church.
