Kenya Work eTA Your Guide for Employment Travel
Foreign nationals traveling to Kenya for employment or work related assignments must secure this travel authorization before departure. The application requires a clear passport scan with at least six months validity, a recent photo, confirmed accommodation, travel bookings, and an official company letter confirming your employment and purpose of visit. The single entry work eTA allows a 90 day stay within a 90 day validity period. I found the Kenya Work eTA section helpful for understanding the document checklist and processing options. Standard processing takes 3 to 5 days, urgent takes 2 to 3 days, and super urgent gets you approval within 1 to 2 days. Remember that this eTA is a travel authorization and does not replace any additional work permits or approvals you might need for employment in Kenya. You cannot enter Kenya before your eTA is approved, so plan ahead. Only US citizens can apply for the upcoming 5 year multiple entry option. Track your application status using the portal's tracker, your registered email, or by contacting Kenya visa support. Keep a printed copy of your eTA with you when you travel.
