To verify a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) in the Philippines, use the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Online TIN Verification facility through ORUS. The BIR states that ORUS can be used to verify the validity and correct ownership of a TIN. 
Steps to verify your TIN online:

1. Go to the official BIR ORUS TIN Verification facility.
2. Enter the required taxpayer information and TIN.
3. Submit the verification request.
4. Review the verification result shown by the system.
5. If the information matches the BIR records, the TIN can be considered verified.
6. If online verification is unavailable or the system asks you to visit an RDO, follow the BIR instructions for further verification.
