The XP Tower system revolves around using Tablet modifiers that boost experience gain and maximize monster density in Maps. When combined with Path of Exile 2 Currency overlapping Tower effects, you can stack multipliers to gain up to 60% more experience per hour compared to normal mapping.

This setup does require some preparation: a well-geared main character, a few Exalts in investment, and an understanding of Tablet placement. For these reasons, it's not recommended for your first character of the league-but it's perfect for speeding through a second or third build.

Tablets: The Core of XP Towers

XP Towers depend heavily on two key Tablet types: Breach Tablets and Irradiated Precursor Tablets. You'll need at least three Tablets per Tower, and the following modifiers are the most important to prioritize:

Mandatory Modifier:

5-10% increased Experience Gain in your Maps.

Bonus Modifiers:

Chance for Maps with a Breach to spawn additional Breaches.
Increased number of Rare or Magic monsters.
Adds monsters via Strongboxes, Shrines, or other mechanics.

Breach Tablets spawn massive packs of monsters, while Irradiated Precursor Tablets raise the Area Level of nearby Maps by +1, increasing monster XP yields. When you stack these effects inside overlapping Towers, you can gain 30-60% more experience than normal mapping, turning each run into a power-leveling session.

Tower Placement and Usage

Proper Tower placement is key to maximizing gains. You can build double overlaps between Towers for the most potent XP boosts, though even single-Tower setups offer substantial returns.

Requirements:

Use a 6-modifier Rare Map to unlock the three Tablet slots required for XP Tower setup.
Place Irradiated and Breach Tablets within the Tower's area of effect.
When possible, aim for overlapping Towers to compound experience and monster density bonuses.
